Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Trust Docs Canada ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our services
We provide Hague Apostille and document authentication services for public and private documents issued in Canada, including obtaining Apostille Certificates from the appropriate Canadian federal or provincial competent authority.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are provided free of charge and are based on the information and documents you submit. Final pricing includes our service fee and applicable government and third-party fees. Prices may change if the scope of work changes (for example, if notarization or additional copies are required).
3. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that the documents you submit are authentic and that you are authorized to have them apostilled.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including names, destination country, and delivery details.
- You will use apostilled documents only for lawful purposes.
4. Turnaround times
Processing times are estimates and depend on the issuing authority. While most apostilles are completed within 1–2 business days, we cannot guarantee delivery dates, as government processing is outside our control.
5. Government and third-party fees
Certain fees are set by government authorities, notaries, and couriers. These fees are non-negotiable and are passed through to you at cost as part of your quote.
6. Shipping and risk
Original documents couriered to and from our office are handled with care and tracked. We are not liable for loss or delay caused by third-party couriers or postal services once documents leave our custody.
7. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for a receiving authority's decision to accept or reject a document.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
